Mr Green - The Gentleman Is Ready For You – Sports & Casino Review

Is Mr Green going to be your Mr Casino UK? Find out in the JustGamers Mr Green review

Mr Green is an online bookmaker and gaming site, founded in 2008, offering you a full betting experience, with sports, Esports, casino, live casino and more. Once past your Mr Green login, you’ll find a very stylish green site, where you’re welcomed by ‘the gentleman’, a friendly and dapper fellow who thinks of himself as Mr Casino. But, here in this JustGamers Mr Green review, we’ll not be swayed by the gentleman’s style and friendliness. He might say he’s Mr Casino, but we’re here to interrogate him until we know every detail, good and bad about Mr Green!

So, just how good is the Mr Green experience? Is it going to be the new gaming site for you? We’re going to analyse this so-called Mr Casino by breaking it down in 10 different categories for this Mr Green review. Read on and see if you’ll be getting that Mr Green login and saying hello to the jovial and dapper green gentleman!

1. Three welcome bonus offers at Mr Green

But all of them have their faults!

When you first register your Mr Green login, you’re offered one of three Mr Green betting new customer welcome bonuses.

The Mr Green sport bonus is the one we like most, a £10 bonus acca bet plus 100 casino spins. You need to deposit £20+ and place £10+ of bets at odds of 3/1 (4.00) or higher. Once settled, you get your free spins and £10 acca bet, which must be placed as one £10 acca with 3+ selections. It’s a nice offer, but we’d prefer to see you given free bets rather than an acca.

When it comes to Mr Green’s casino bonuses, we think Mr Casino is being very tight. The casino bonus is a 100% matched deposit up to £100, plus 200 bonus spins on selected slots, active for 7 days. To get the deposit bonus, you need to make a deposit of £20+ and wager £20+ on slots. Finally, the Mr Green live casino welcome bonus is another 100% matched deposit up to £100 offer for deposits of £20+. You’ll receive up to £100 matched bonus on your losses on live casino tables.

The casino, live casino bonuses, and all free spins, including those in the Mr Green sport bonus all have wagering requirements of 35x your bonus to get hold of any winnings. So, if you took a £20 bonus, you’d need to wager £700. Ouch. This is why we think most casino bonuses are something not worth taking!

2. Does Mr Green deliver the excitement of Esports?

Esports have been huge amongst gamers for years, with millions of fans following the professional teams in leagues and competitions across the world. It’s exciting, it’s fast moving, and there’s excellent betting action with Esports. A lot of bookmakers give Esports little coverage, but Mr Green gets how great it is and offers a load of Esports action at the Mr Green sport site.

On the site, you’ll find CS:GO betting, Dota 2 betting, Hearthstone, League of Legends betting, NBA 2K, and Rocket League betting. You’ll find outrights for the major tournaments and events and a great selection of live in-play betting, with plenty of markets, including betting for rounds, maps, handicaps, first to 5s, and game specific markets. So, whether you’re following CS:GO or LOL, Dota 2 or NBA 2K you’ll find all that and more can be delivered by Mr Green.

3. Casino and Live Casino at Mr Green

It delivers everything you could want – with style!

When it comes to casino and live casino, Mr Green really does live up to that name Mr Casino! No wonder it’s an award winner; IGA Online Casino Operator of the Year 2013/14/15 and IGA Online Gaming Operator of the Year 2017. In the casino, you’ll find all the table games you’d expect, 40 of them, including baccarat and multiple versions of roulette and blackjack. And as for slots… well there’s over 700 of them, so you should find all your favourites and so much more!

And with the Mr Green live casino, you’ll find plenty of options, with live dealers ready and waiting for you to join the Mr Green betting action in the live rooms! So you’re going to find lots of choice for baccarat, roulette, blackjack, Monopoly live, Dreamcatcher, and Dragon Tiger. Plenty of great live casino action at Mr Green.

And, if you’re in the mood for even more casino gaming, you can add in virtual sports, Keno, bingo, and instant wins.

Casino? Mr Green can rightly call himself Mr Casino!

4. Poker at Mr Green? Mr Casino comes up very short here!

There’s not too much poker available at the casino site of Mr Green and that really surprised us. All there are at Mr Green are a few live casino games, including Texas hold ‘em, Three card, Caribbean stud poker, and a few video poker games. We expected rather more!

You’ll also not find any dedicated poker site or mobile app, something other gaming sites do offer, usually as a downloadable desktop program allowing you access to multiple online poker tournaments. If you want our top pick for those, it would have to be 888poker, either through desktop or the dedicated mobile app.

So, if you’re a big poker player, Mr Green lets you down.

5. Live in-play betting and streaming is big at Mr Green

Great choice, great depth!

We’ve already talked about how good Mr Green’s live betting is for Esports. And that excellent live in-play betting extends throughout Mr Green betting on sports. Basically, if you follow a sport and fancy finding yourself a good live in-play bet, Mr Green should have a live betting option for you!

But just offering live betting on a lot of different sports isn’t enough for us at JustGamers. We also want to see a massive range of in-play betting markets and we want to see live updating data and visuals for the games we’re betting on. And here, Mr Green doesn’t deliver as well as we really wanted to see. Yes, there are quite a few different betting markets offered, but it’s not as extensive as we’ve seen at other sites. Similarly, when we were conducting this Mr Green review, we couldn’t find any visuals to go with our live betting. we’d also like to see some live-streaming options, but here again, Mr Green fails to deliver.

6. Mr Green has everything in order with licenses and security

They tick all the right boxes

When you’re betting, you have to take security seriously. You need to be putting down bets and playing cash games only with bookmakers and gaming sites who are as secure as possible and are fully licensed and regulated. Thankfully, Mr Green is absolutely solid when it comes to security and licences.

They are a Maltese gaming operator and are licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority, but they also hold licences from the UK Gambling Commission. Basically, that’s all you need to hear to know they’re a properly licensed and regulated gaming site! As for security, Mr Green’s site and mobile apps are all secure, using SSL encrypted https webpages to ensure that your personal and financial information is all kept safe. So, in terms of being safe, secure, and regulated, Mr Green ticks all the right boxes.

7. Customer Support – Mr Green delivers 24/7 support you want

What else?

vIf you’ve ever needed to use the customer support at any gaming or betting site, there’s nothing more frustrating than finding out they aren’t open or being charged for a long call! That’s why our criteria for excellence in customer support is simple – we want lots of options, we want them all free, we want them 24/7, and we want them to be effective.

In this, Mr Green gets 3 out of 4. They offer email support, telephone support, and live chat. And it’s all 24/7 and, when we tested them, all answered quickly and effectively. The only thing they fail on is not providing a free-phone number for the Mr Green contact number UK. It’s also somewhat tricky to find the help & FAQ sections on the site. It’s there, but hard to get to!

8. Payment methods for Mr Green

They cover everything you need and more!

It’s essential for players to have their preferred payment option available at their gaming and sports betting site of choice. And with Mr Green, you’ll find that you’ve got all the choice you want and so many more. You’ll be able to use Visa and MasterCard debit and credit cards, along with bank transfers, the prepaid paysafecard, and the e-wallets PayPal, Skrill and Neteller. You’ll also find many lesser known payment methods, such as Zimpler, Euteller, Trustly, and Voucher Pro. So, it’s all present and correct for Mr Green when it comes to payment methods.

However, you should always keep a couple of things in mind. You can’t use Neteller or Skrill to get deposit bonuses and always be careful of using credit cards, as the credit card companies often treat gaming transactions as a cash advance, complete with hefty fees and interest charges.

9. Mr Green mobile gaming delivers you need

For the betting and gaming excitement on the go play

The Mr Green mobile apps are available for Android and Apple iOS and are excellent examples of how to get the full online gaming site experience onto a mobile app. You’ll find all of the features of the main Mr Green betting and gaming site on the apps, optimised for mobile screens. The design of the apps is excellent, with everything we looked for in exactly the right place, making navigation effortless and intuitive.

If we had one criticism, we’d have to say it’s the lack of good organisation with the casino app. With the main site, the casino, slots, table games, and live casino sections are all given clear links, but on the mobile app, the casino section has no organisation with slots and table games all thrown together in one seemingly endless stream of tiles. To find a specific game, you’ll need to search for it when a separate section would have been much easier to use. However, that’s a minor tweak. Maybe Mr Green will take note and change that on a future update?

10. Mr Green’s extra features

It’s one of the most responsible gaming sites we’ve seen

Mr Green won the SBC Award for Socially Responsible Operator of the Year 2017 and it’s all down to its excellent Green Gaming initiative, a set of responsible gambling tools and features, all designed to help you make sure that your gaming stays fun and never becomes a problem.

The Green Gaming tool follows your gaming play from your very first Mr Green login and goes on to analyse your playing to best advise you on your gambling risk profile. It’s an excellent feature and, when used with the Mr Green self-limiting tools and self-exclusion, is a wonderful way to make sure that all of Mr Green’s players are safe in their gaming play. After all, as they say on their site, sometimes we all need to put away the gaming and smell the roses! Betting and gaming should be a fun, exciting experience and Mr Green wants to keep it that way.

Mr Green wants to be Mr Casino and it very nearly manages that!

We really enjoyed playing at Mr Green, and think that they offer a great gaming experience, whether that’s the Mr Green sportsbook, Mr Green’s Esports offers, or all of the extensive Mr Green casino gaming choices you have. You’ll find plenty of sports betting and casino gaming on both the main site and the mobile apps, their Esports coverage is excellent, and they are definitely a safe place for your gaming.

However, their welcome bonuses are a little lacking, their live betting options are lacking those essential visuals and live streaming, and they really need to look at offering some good poker gaming.

That’s why we’re saying that Mr Green delivers a gaming experience that is nearly, but not quite, excellent.
