JUSTGAMERS NEO.BET REVIEW – HOW GOOD IS THIS NEWCOMER IN SPORTS AND ESPORTS BETTING SHAPING UP?

A newcomer to the betting game, Neo.bet first got into sports and Esports in 2018. But since then they’ve been developing a good reputation as a solid bookmaker in Europe – particularly in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands – and they’ve recently made moves into the Canadian betting market with Neo.bet Canada. So, how do they stack up when compared to your favourite bookie right now?

1. Neo.bet Esports & Sports Betting Welcome Bonus – Up to $400 or EUR 50.00 Bonus For New Players

NEO.BET WELCOME BONUS LOOKS GREAT BUT TURNOVER HIGHER THAN WE LIKE TO SEE

The Neo.bet welcome bonus is different depending where you’re registered from – if you’re a new Neo.bet Canada player, you’ll see a $400 welcome bonus package, but for players registered in Europe, you’ll see a starter bonus worth up to EUR 50.00.

The Neo.bet Canada bonus is only for deposits with credit cards, MuchBetter, paysafecard, and Interac and you can use it on Neo.bet Esports and sports betting. There are three steps – a 100% match deposit bonus up to $200, and two 100% deposit matches up to $100 each.

The Neo.bet Europe bonus is just for Germany, Austria, Netherlands, and Luxembourg and only for deposits made using MasterCard and Visa, Trustly, Klarna, MuchBetter, Apple Pay, paysafecard, and bank transfers. It’s 200% matched bonus to your first deposit, to a maximum of EUR 50.00.

All great so far, but when you go into the terms of the bonus, things at Neo.bet get a little less appealing. There’s a turnover requirement of 5x your bonus at odds of 1.50 or more, which is a bit higher than we like for sports bonuses. However, you do get 100 days to make that turnover – so there’s good and bad here at least.

2. Neo.bet Esports Betting Offer: Limited Esports On Offer.

NEO.BET NEEDS TO GET BETTER WITH THE NUMBER OF ESPORTS OFFERED

When looking at Neo.bet Esports for this Neo.bet review, we were surprised initially to see that they only covered LOL world betting, CSGO betting, and betting for Overwatch, and Dota 2. We were looking for a lot more than that and would have liked, expected even, to see Starcraft, Call of Duty, FIFA, NBA2K, and so much more.

But this isn’t the only place Neo.bet falls short – at the time of writing this Neo.bet review, they only offer a total of 11 sports for betting in addition to their Esports at Neo.bet Canada and Europe, with their primary sports offering being soccer (it makes up at least 2/3 of all betting markets at the site). So when you consider they only concentrate on the main four Esports right now, it fits with their general sports betting offering. But let’s face it, that’s no good for you if you’re a fan of a large number of Esports (or sports) – you want a site able to give you everything you’re looking for, not just the most popular. When we drill down into the individual Esports to look at betting markets, it’s a poor showing here as well, with just a few markets pre-match (match/ money-line, totals, spread betting). However, on the plus side, we liked the competitive odds we found here at Neo.bet, we liked the simple 1-click betting, the ‘personal bet configurator’ (meaning it makes things easier to personalise and configure bets in the bet slip). Finally, we liked the Esports live betting, where there’s a lot more betting markets and live streaming is available.

3. Neo.bet Casino Gaming? Nothing Here –Esports & Sports Betting Only

NEO.BET HAS NO CASINO SITE AT ALL – IT’S A SPORTS AND ESPORTS ONLY SITE.

If you’re looking for a casino site, Neo.bet is not going to be for you. But it’s never made any attempt to appeal to the casino players amongst you, preferring to concentrate on its Sports and Esports betting markets instead. Given that it’s a Sports and Esports specialist site, we’re not going to be marking it down for the lack of a casino section, but wanted to let you know here – if you’re after a does it all, Sports, Esports, and Casino site – Neo.bet’s going to be a no bet for you.

4. No Dedicated Poker Found In Our Neo.bet Review

NOPE, POKER FANS – NOTHING TO SEE HERE AT NEO.BET

Just as with the lack of a casino section, there’s no dedicated poker section for you to get the best downloadable poker experience with here at Neo.bet. But, just as when looking at their casino offering, this is to be expected – Neo.bet are trying to do the best they can with their Sports and Esports betting offering. You want poker, whether it’s online poker, video poker, live dealer poker, or a dedicated downloadable poker program? Then Neo.bet is a no bet for you.

5. Neo.bet’s Live Betting and Streaming Could Do Better

NEEDS TO DO BETTER WITH SPORTS LIVE BETTING BUT IT’S GREAT NEWS FOR ESPORTS FANS!

When it comes to the live betting and streaming options at Neo.bet, we were all a bit nonplussed by what we saw. Yes, they cover all the live betting available in the sports and Esports they offer – but that’s only 11 sports and four Esports remember, so not that much at all.

Yes, they do offer live betting on most of what’s happening live, but nothing that they do marks them out as special or particularly different from any other bookie out there with their sports betting – no live streaming, only a limited visual display and stats for the live match/game, the standard numbers of in-play markets. But when it comes to Esports live betting things get better with Neo.bet – a deeper number of markets on offer, plus live streaming for Esports to follow your betting live on mobile and on desktop.

6. Is everything properly licensed, regulated and secure at Neo.bet?

MGA LICENSE AND PLENTY OF INFORMATION ON SECURITY – NEO.BET GETS IT RIGHT

One of the first things to ensure with any betting site that’s handling your financial and personal data is that they’re safe and secure. Here, with Neo.bet, they hold a gambling license (as Neo.bet through Greenvest Betting Ltd.) with the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), one of the world’s leading gaming regulatory bodies. Seeing that licence in place is a reassurance that they’re doing things right.

Even better, unlike a lot of sites, Neo.bet provides plenty of security information to you on its site, a sure way to gain our trust and tell us they’re serious about your security. It complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), is certified compliant for security by TÜV Rheinland for information and data management and operates the expected SSL encryption technology across the site.

7. Neo.bet Customer Support – How Helpful Are They?

YOU’RE OUT OF LUCK WITH NEO.BET IF YOU’RE AFTER GREAT 24/7 SUPPORT

At Neo.bet, there’s good news and bad news when it comes to customer service. The good news is that Neo.bet give you the chance to contact them through live chat, a call-back feature, and email. Personally, we prefer live chat every time as it’s something we can use that’s usually pretty instant and easy. But the call-back was a nice addition instead of having to hang on the phone. However, the problem with all of this is that Neo.bet are only available between 7:30am to 11:30pm Central European Time – which isn’t going to all that useful to Neo.bet Canada players at all!

And then there’s the FAQ section and help sections, which is always something we think needs to be counted in the customer service – and it’s very, very short, not particularly helpful, and certainly won’t cover all the frequently asked questions you might have. All in all, there’s plenty to improve for customer service at Neo.bet.

8. Reasonable Selection Of Payment Methods Here At Neo.bet

MULTIPLE PAYMENT OPTIONS BUT LACKING ANY CRYPTO PAYMENTS

Plenty of payment methods should be available to you at Neo.bet, although what you get obviously depends on where you’re registered. They accept Euros (EUR) and Canadian Dollars (CAD). There’s plenty of useful information on the Neo.bet help pages as well – you’ll see that minimums are a reasonable 10.00 deposit and 20.00 withdrawal (in whatever currency you choose) and that deposit/withdrawal times are all reasonable – instant for most deposits,  1-3 days for withdrawals. The exception being e-wallets – with immediate withdrawals are the order of the day. You’ll find Visa and MasterCard for deposit and withdrawals, Bank transfers through Trustly, Interac e-transfer (Canada), and direct withdrawals through Canada’s Express Connect. E-wallets are well represented with MuchBetter, Skrill, and Neteller (although there is a 3% deposit fee for Skrill and Neteller). Klarna, paysafecard, and Apple Pay are welcomed just for deposits.

All told, plenty of good options for payment, although it would have been much better to see some cryptocurrency payment available.

9. How Good Is The Neo.bet Mobile & App Experience?

THE NEO.BET APP & MOBILE SITE – DOES EVERYTHING YOU NEED IT TO!

You can find a dedicated Neo.bet mobile app for both Apple iOS and Android mobile devices – just head to the Apple store or Google Play store to download. And there’s also a mobile device optimised version of the main desktop Neo.bet site that you can use if you don’t want to download another app. And both mobile apps and the mobile sites are well designed, fully featured and offer you everything you can get from the main Neo.bet site – exactly as they should be. You can even access all of the Esports live streams through the apps and mobile site.

10. How About The Extras You Can get At Neo.bet?

CASHOUT CONTROLS, SIMPLE REWARDS SCHEME, SPORTS REPLAY BETTING, KNOWLEDGE BASE – JUST SOME OF THE EXTRAS!

Neo.bet do pretty well on the extras they offer. For a start, they’ve introduced cashout features including the ability to secure bets with stop loss limits and automatic notifications or auto-cashouts. There’s also the informative NEO.bet Journal, giving you a chronological listing of all events offered. There’s also the Neo.bet Bonus Chips scheme, with bonus chips collected with every placed bet (minimum odds 1.15). Any losing bet automatically gets you 4x the stake in bonus chips and you can change 2500 chips for EUR 10.00 of credit for your next bet.

And finally, a unique feature available at NEO.bet in these pandemic months of minimal sports is called Replay Sports. Big matches from the past are replayed on the sportsbook without listing the teams, usually at 10x speed – but these are limited to bets up to one hour prior to the start. For us, the anonymous aspect of this strips away the essence of good sports betting and we wouldn’t recommend it – but it’s there if you fancy a look!

CONCLUSION – Neo.bet Offers A Good But Limited Sports & Esports Betting Site

NOT THE BIGGEST, NOT THE MOST CHOICE, BUT A DECENT SITE FOR YOU TO LOOK AT

Whether it’s Neo.bet Canada or Neo.bet Europe, what you get here is a limited sports and Esports betting site, offering (at time of writing) 11 sport and four Esports. To us, that’s simply not enough choice and there’s not the breadth of choice either, as both sports and Esports lack the sorts of betting market choices we like. Things get a lot better in live betting though, especially with Esports where you get all the betting markets we like to see and live streaming of the action as well.

As for the rest of the good and bad at Neo.bet – we loved the simplicity and ease of use of the site across desktop, mobile site, and dedicated mobile apps. We also liked how competitive the odds on offer were. The bonuses on offer are good, but the 5x turnover is a little high for us, customer service needs to be 24/7 rather than limited to Euro time only, and although the payment methods were good, we would like to see crypto payments offered and hate seeing fees for Skrill and Neteller deposits.

However, even with those limitations of Neo.bet, we can say that it’s a site we’d look at in future because of the competitive odds on offer and the smooth betting experience.

So, it’s definitely worth trying your luck with Neo.bet – a real contender on the growing Esports betting scene.
