LCK Predictions: League of Legends Champions Korea 2022
After ten years, the LCK (League of Legends Champions Korea) is the most popular LoL competition within South Korea. This will be the second year that the competition takes place under a partnership, following a refresh of the tournament in 2021. In the LCK, ten of South Korea’s most capable League of Legends teams will come together to do battle. We’re here to discuss LCK predictions, highlight the schedule ahead, and offer some all-important esports betting tips.

LCK Predictions: Format and Schedule
From the 12th of January to the 20th of March, the LCK 2022 Spring tournament will take place. This will feature ten teams battling it out in a tense double round-robin competition, with the top six teams qualifying for the next stage – the Playoffs. When the first portion of the tournament is complete, four teams will go home empty-handed. However, for the top six teams, the LCK 2022 Spring Playoffs will be held, running from the 23rd of March to the 2nd of April.
For the top team in the competition, a grand prize of around $166k will be awarded. For second place, the prize is $83k; third place, $41k, and 4th place, $20k. If a team falls below the top four, they too will walk away with nothing. It’s an intense and popular tournament in South Korea, and some of the teams fighting for the ultimate prize are world champions in League of Legends.
In the opening stage, known as the Group Stage, teams come together to play 18 matches apiece. These matches take on a best-of-three structure, and then as the contest moves into the Playoffs, there’s a single-elimination, best-of-five bracket for bettors to enjoy. It’s a heated, high-octane tournament that offers untold esports betting opportunities for viewers hungry for a little League of Legends action.
The LCK predictions won’t end here, however, as there’s an entire year of content ahead. Following the Spring Season, the Summer Season takes place, followed by the ultimate and all-important Regional Finals. There’s plenty in store for League of Legends in Korea in 2022.

In 2021, the most dominant teams in the competition were T1 and Hanwha Life – both of these teams were victorious at the Regional Finals, securing qualifications for the Worlds 2021 event. Outside of the Regional Finals, DAMWON proved to be a remarkable team throughout the entire season. This squad powered up to win both the Spring and Summer Playoffs, securing prize money and placement at the 2021 Worlds event.
This year, DAMWON seems poised to issue a repeat performance, dominating the field once again. In November of 2021, DAMWON narrowly missed out on winning the League of Legends World Championship, so the team will be eager to qualify once again. However, from what we’ve already seen, DAMWON may be on the back foot when compared to the likes of T1 and Gen.G Esports. At present, both of these teams are unbeaten in the Group Stage of the LCK Spring 2022 event.
