LEC 2022 Spring Week 6 Recap

We are now almost at the very end of this split’s regular season of LEC. Last week, we saw some surprises and big upsets in the league. Below is everything during week 6 of the League of Legends European Championship 2022 Spring Season!

LEC 2022 Spring Week 6 Day 1

  • Fnatic | 0 – 1 | Astralis
  • Misfits Gaming | 1 – 0 | EXCEL
  • Team Vitality | 1 – 0 | Team BDS
  • SK Gaming | 1 – 0 | G2 Esports
  • Rogue | 1 – 0 | MAD Lions

What happened:

The biggest upset of the week in the League of Legends championship happened in the first game between Fnatic and Astralis. Astralis had a single win before coming into this matchup and improved their record with another win over their strong opponent. promisq’s Galio pick came in handy for the AST side as most of the fights were won thanks to his flanks and such. Secondly, Misfits Gaming demolished EXCEL in the second game of the week. MSF’s mid laner Vetheo won the MVP award once again, securing his seventh of the split.

Team BDS’ fall continued as they got their fifth straight loss this split. The new member of the league started their journey with decent performance but for the last games, they have been struggling a lot. On the other side, Team Vitality’s sixth win of the split kept them in the playoff bracket. SK Gaming pulled out a miracle win over G2 Esports with Jezu’s monstrous Jinx performance. G2’s leadership dreams have been damaged.

Lastly, this year’s bosses, Rogue, secured an important win against last year’s champions, MAD Lions. The game was so close until the very end but Malrang’s Hecarim decided the winner. The South Korean jungler carried his team in the last team fight to secure another win this season.

  • Misfits Gaming | 1 – 0 | MAD Lions
  • Team Vitality | 0 – 1 | Rogue
  • G2 Esports | 0 – 1 | Fnatic

Team BDS lost another game, sixth in a row, against SK Gaming. SK are now on a three-game winning streak which may put them in the playoff bracket soon. They need to keep their performance and win more games in the last two weeks. They currently have five wins and eight losses.

Misfits’ Vetheo had another stand-out performance this week as they secured a win over MAD Lions. The French mid laner is now sitting on eight MVP awards, three more than his closest competitor. The super-team, Team Vitality, failed to show their capacity against Rogue. Malrang and his friends won their eleventh game of the split to guarantee themselves a playoff spot two weeks before the regular season’s end.
