Results:

  • Fnatic | 0 – 1 | Astralis
  • Misfits Gaming | 1 – 0 | EXCEL
  • Team Vitality | 1 – 0 | Team BDS
  • SK Gaming | 1 – 0 | G2 Esports
  • Rogue | 1 – 0 | MAD Lions

What happened:

The biggest upset of the week in the League of Legends championship happened in the first game between Fnatic and Astralis. Astralis had a single win before coming into this matchup and improved their record with another win over their strong opponent. promisq’s Galio pick came in handy for the AST side as most of the fights were won thanks to his flanks and such. Secondly, Misfits Gaming demolished EXCEL in the second game of the week. MSF’s mid laner Vetheo won the MVP award once again, securing his seventh of the split.

Team BDS’ fall continued as they got their fifth straight loss this split. The new member of the league started their journey with decent performance but for the last games, they have been struggling a lot. On the other side, Team Vitality’s sixth win of the split kept them in the playoff bracket. SK Gaming pulled out a miracle win over G2 Esports with Jezu’s monstrous Jinx performance. G2’s leadership dreams have been damaged.

Lastly, this year’s bosses, Rogue, secured an important win against last year’s champions, MAD Lions. The game was so close until the very end but Malrang’s Hecarim decided the winner. The South Korean jungler carried his team in the last team fight to secure another win this season.
