LCK Weekend Summer Split Preview

League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) is underway, and we have had many good matchups throughout the competition.

The road to the League of Legends World Championships is a long one, and so far, it seems to benefit teams who got off to a rocky start. July 10 and 11 host multiple matchups as teams look to take a step closer to qualifying for World Championships.

Kt Rolster vs Fredit Brion

Kt Rolster and Fredit Brion have not competed as best as they hoped for in the LCK. However, this matchup would mean a lot to both teams to gain some momentum in this competition. Coming off a win and looking to climb the ranking, expect KT Rolster to win against Fredit Brion.

Hanwha Life Esports vs DWG Kia

This is a lopsided matchup in favor of DWG Kia. Hanwha Life Esports has been the second-worst team in the LCK behind DRX. Hanwha’s chances of finishing in the top three of this competition are slight, and you should expect DWG Kia to cruise past Hanwha Life Esports easily.

Gen. G vs DRX

DRX came into the LCK looking like a team that could make a lot of noise in the LCK. They were riding the momentum of a 14 win-streak but have completely collapsed as a team. They are currently ranked last in the LCK and are certain to miss the World Championships. Gen.G has been on fire in the LCK, the complete opposite of their opponent. This team is hitting on all cylinders and is currently ranked as the number one team in the LCK. Expect Gen G to handle DRX in a flawless 2-0 victory.

T1 vs NongShim REDFORCE

T1 has fallen in the rankings after being one of the better teams in the LCK. The late surge by Liiv Sandbox has pushed T1 behind the pack. Nongshim RedForce has been one of the three best teams in the LCK and is looking to make a push towards the top. It would be hard to see any outcome other than a NongShim Victory; however, expect T1 to give their best shot.
